Iron — for immune support
How it works:
IRON is essential for transporting oxygen by red blood cells, supporting muscle function, maintaining the immune system, synthesizing DNA, and enabling the proper function of various enzymes. Iron also promotes the absorption of B vitamins. Its deficiency may cause fatigue, pale skin, dryness, brittle and split hair, and fragile nails.
Insufficient iron intake or the body’s inability to absorb and store it properly leads to low hemoglobin levels and inadequate oxygen supply to tissues, resulting in iron-deficiency anemia. Symptoms may include weakness, fatigue, reduced physical endurance, difficulty concentrating, pale complexion, and dark circles under the eyes. The average daily iron intake from food is 10–12 mg, of which only 1–2 mg is absorbed into the bloodstream.
